About Raz Seri.

School Philosophy

Raz Seri has taught aspiring artists for over twenty years. He believes in supporting and challenging students to learn how to see and depict form and light using tools of the past revised for students of today. His schools offer the classical methodology of European ateliers as well as contemporary art techniques dedicated to quality instruction and supportive of the synergy of creativity in all its forms.

Raz Seri

Raz Seri is the founder, Artistic Director and Lead Instructor of the Boulder School of Fine Art and the Raz Seri Gallery and Art School located in New Bedford, Massacusetts. He is a graduate of the Florence Academy of Fine Art. He has taught classical drawing and painting at the Denver Art Students League, at the Denver Academy of Art and the Dojo Atelier of Austin where he created the academy program.

Raz has brought his knowledge and expertise in creating realistic art as well as his mastery of teaching art to Boulder, Colorado. His leadership in art education has created a successful atelier in the modern tradition to the greater Front Range region of Colorado.

 

Raz lives in Boulder, Colorado. He has studios in Boulder and New Bedford, Massachusetts, where he conducts workshops during summer months.

During his more than 20 years of teaching aspiring artists of diverse ages, art experiences and ambitions he has focused on helping each person develop their own skills and ability to see and depict the light and form of life in their own art

Sharon Solomon

Sharon Solomon is the manager and owner of the Boulder School of Fine Art and Raz Seri Gallery and School.  Sharon schedules classes and instructors and handles the marketing and website design and maintenance. She works with Raz and other artists to develop classes that are helpful and useful for aspiring artists.

Sharon is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Painting as well as Front Range Community College where she studied multi-media and graphic design. She studied figure and portraiture with Raz Seri and has attended numerous workshops from other teachers.

Sharon teaches plein aire and studio landscape painting at the Boulder School of Fine Art, and helps teens prepare their portfolios for art school.

Sharon has shown her art in Boulder and Denver and is an oil painter specialising in creating paintings that depict the beauty of light and color and the mysterious presence of the human form in art.
